Simply because once certain types of files get into your operating system they require your computer to work harder to keep up to speed. After some time these types of files will accumulate the point the computer will no longer have the resources to keep running at the same speed it did before these bad files popped up.

These bad files get into your Windows operating system through the registry and are commonly referred to as registry corruption. Removing registry corruption allows your computer to once again operate at top speed. It is for this reason registry cleaners are very important. However, not all registry cleaners are created equal and the fact there are some poor ones out there has given the registry cleaner community a bad name.
